Esoteric bodies of a human – how deep is our existence
Working with the body is, in my view, an effective, natural, profound, and simple tool to not only connect with the physical body but also to touch and harmonize the various layers of our auric field. It allows us to cleanse and balance these layers and restore their natural flow.
By doing so, we also connect with our soul, realigning with the intention of our spirit, fulfilling our life’s potential, and uncovering our innate gifts and joys.
In esoteric traditions and various spiritual teachings, it is commonly stated that a human being has multiple levels or "bodies." Beyond the tangible and material physical body, there are also subtle energetic bodies. The most frequently mentioned ones include:
Physical Body – The material body that we perceive with our senses. It includes physiological processes and basic needs such as sleep, nutrition, and movement.
Etheric Body – A subtle energy body that connects the physical body with the energy field. It involves the flow of life force energy (prana, chi) and can manifest as an aura.
Emotional Body – Contains our emotions, feelings, and moods. It is closely linked to our relationships and how we perceive the world on an emotional level.
Mental Body – Relates to our thoughts, beliefs, intellect, and cognitive processes, including inner dialogues and analytical abilities.
Astral Level – Acts as a bridge between lower and higher planes of existence. It is associated with deep emotions, dream visions, astral travel, and heightened intuition.
Etheric Template Body – A higher energy field that holds the blueprint for the lower bodies. Some systems view it as the matrix for the physical and etheric bodies.
Celestial Body – Connected to higher consciousness, spiritual love, divine light energies, and a profound connection with the universe.
Ketheric Template Body – The highest level of the auric field, representing our connection to the divine essence. It holds the soul’s essence and the higher plan of existence.
This system describes the layers of the human aura, illustrating the progressive refinement of energy from the physical body to the divine level.
Different traditions and philosophical systems offer varying perspectives on these bodies, but they all reflect a belief in the diverse aspects of human existence – from the most material to the spiritual and transcendent.
